About hometown and family
My family and I are presently residing here in the Queen City of the South, Cebu City. Where you can find the famous Magellan’s Cross located at Sto. Nino Church, across the City Government Hall. Many tourists would love to visit here, especially when our City is celebrating the famous Sinulog Festival in honor with our Beloved Patron Senior Sto. Nino. I belong to a poor family, broken family actually; it started when my father lost his job during my sophomore years. My mother could not afford to send me to school, while my brother is also jobless. That time I really felt worried that I might stop studying. But I did not lose hope; luckily, I was able to continue studying in high school as a scholar in our Parish. They help me with my tuition and other things needed for my studies. I also do odd jobs, so that it can help me finance my education. To make my story short, even how hard I experienced at that time, it didn’t stop me in pursuing my studies and research my goal, which is to study and graduate in college. That is why education for me is very important; it’s like a precious stone that you should treasure.
私は現在家族と、「南のクイーンシティー」の愛称でしられる、セブ島に住んでいます。サントニーニョ教会の、有名な「マゼランの十字架」がある町です。セブ島は多くの旅行者が訪れる町で、特に守護聖人「サントニーニョ」を祭るフェスティバルが開催される際は、多くの旅行者でにぎわいます。
私の家庭は決して裕福ではなく、実際すこし問題を抱えた家庭でした。私が大学２回生の時、父親が仕事を失い、兄も仕事がありませんでした。そのため学校を辞めなければいけない危機に面しました。しかし幸運にも、奨学生として勉学を続けることが出来ました。厳しい窮地に立たされても、私の目標である大学卒業という夢を諦めませんでした。このような経験から、教育は私にとってもっとも重要なことです。教育はまるで、大切に持っておくべき高価な石のようです。
Comments to students
During my college years as a Special Education student, I learned that “at risk” children/ exceptional children should be guided seriously, not only in their academics but also helping them to live independently, which is one of the responsibilities of being a sped teacher. This enables me to provide these children with a “head start” in mastering basic skills. I am challenged to be creative, nurturing and most of all, patient. My goal is to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, responsible teacher who will make a positive contribution to the school. I also learned that in teaching you should also integrate values to your lessons so that your students will be morally upright and can be a good citizen. In teaching you must know different strategies and methods that fit your students’ capacity, because every student is unique and special in many ways.
特別教育学部の生徒として、障害をもった子供たちは学校教育を受けるだけでなく、自立して生活するために必要な教育、そしてサポートが必要だと学びました。これが特別学級の講師としての責任だと思います。この責任感を得てして、私は子供たちに生活で必要となる能力を、効率良く教えれるようになりました。常にクリエーティブで、愛情を持ち、辛抱強くいることはなかなか難しかったです。私の目標は、これまでの私の経験を本に、情が深く、熱心で責任感のある講師となり、ABCアカデミーに貢献する事です。生徒は一人一人ユニークで特別なので、講師は一人一人に合った様々なティーチングテクニックやメソッドを知らなければいけません。また、自分自身の価値観などをレッスン内でシェアする事によって、人として成長できると思います。
Goals and dreams as an English teacher
In Special Education, I also teach children in different subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and including English. One thing that is good about in teaching English is that your students will learn how to communicate effectively. I will do my very best to help my students learn how to use English language correctly.
特別学級での教育では、生徒の子供たちに数学や科学、そして英語も教えていました。英語を教えることの良い事の１つは、生徒が効果的にコミュニケーションを取る方法を学んでいく事です。正しい英語を生徒が話せるように、私も全力でサポートしたいと思います。

About Japanese and Japan
During my childhood days, my day wouldn’t be complete without watching my favorite Japanese anime and tuning in Japanese channel. I learned that Japanese people are very talented especially in arts. Their traditions is different from us here in the Philippines but I loved how they protects and nurture it. I hope one day I can visit Japan and learn more from them.
小さい頃は、日本の番組をやっているチャンネルにあわせて、日本のアニメを見なければ一日は完成されませんでした。日本人は芸術にとても長けていると思いました。フィリピンの伝統とは多きく異なっていますが、日本の伝統を保護して促進する姿勢が大好きです。いつか日本を訪れて、より多くの事を学べたら良いと思います。
