About hometown and family
I was born and raised in the Municipality of Palanas in the Province of Masbate. Masbate belongs to region V, Bicol region in the southern part of Luzon Philippines. Our Province is known for its cattle ranches, coconut products, and agricultural crops. Our Municipality is highly rural. Every 28th of May we celebrate our town fiesta, this is serves as our thanksgiving for the good harvest, and thanksgiving for the surpassing all the calamities that passed all throughout the year. Farmers display their harvests on the town plaza, like corn, roots crops, fruits and a lot more. We are six offspring; the eldest is a registered teacher with her own family now in Masbate. The second eldest is a Computer Engineering graduate and works here in Cebu for almost ten years in one of the country’s largest exporter of fruits and fruit products, and she’s the one who sent to me to college and the bread winner of the family. The third one is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Commerce and is now living in Pampanga with her own family. The fourth one is our eldest boy in the family; he studied Marine Engineering but unfortunately wasn’t able to finish it; he has his own family now as well. The fifth one is another boy; he is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering and works in United Arab Emirates now for more than two years. And the youngest is me, I’m a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduated last April 2011, took and passed the Nurse Licensure Examination last July 2011.
私はマスバテ州にあるパラナス市で生まれ育ちました。マスバテ地方はフィリピン南部のビコル地方に属します。私の故郷は羊の大牧場やココナッツ、そして農産物などで有名で、とても田舎な場所です。毎年５月２８日には、災害からの町の安全や、穀物の豊作に感謝する、感謝祭が催されます。
私は５人の兄弟、姉妹がいます。長女は学校の先生で、結婚しており自分の家族とマスバテに住んでいます。２女はコンピュータエンジニアを大学で勉強し、現在はセブ島で、フィリピンで１番規模の大きい果物の輸入会社で１０年以上働いています。彼女のお陰で私も大学へ行くことができました。一家のかせぎ手です。３女は貿易関係の学部を卒業し、現在は自分の家族を持っており、パンパンガという町で暮らしています。４番目は長男で、大学では海洋学を学んでいましたが卒業はしませんでした。現在は家庭を持っています。５番目の次男は機械工学部を卒業し、今はアラブ首長国連邦で２年以上働いています。そして私は一番下の末っ子になります私は2011年の4月に看護学部を卒業しました。そして2011年の7月に、看護師の国家試験に合格しました。
Comments to students
This will be my first time to be a teacher for it is not my field. But when I was in college, I used to deliver teaching-reporting lessons to the class where I belong, and my instructor usually ask me if I’m planning to be a Clinical Instructor someday for as they say I have the potential to be a teacher, even my classmates told me that. Since this will be my first time to teach with foreign students, I can promise to always give my best as a teacher for the betterment of my student. I will be dedicated to learn all the content670 of being an online teacher, and how to be efficient as I can be.
私の専門分野は看護学で、英語講師として働くのは今回が初めてですが、大学時代にはよく模擬授業をを担当し、教授から教える側に転進するよう進められていました。クラスメートにも進められました。外国の人に英語を教える事は今回が初めてですが、生徒が上達するために、全力を尽くすことを約束します。より良い英語講師になれるよう常に学習していきたいと思います。
Favorite TV program and its contents
I’m a TV addict as they say. I really love watching television. I love to watch series related to medicine, it’s because I can relate into it, and I want to improve my knowledge and skills as a nurse by watching certain series. I also love watching action movies, because I love the adrenaline rush while watching it and the thrills of it. I dreamed to be an action star someday. I also like watching Documentaries by the country’s greatest journalists. I love reality shows as well, because in those shows we will gain many lessons about the reality of life.
私の周りの人はよく、私はテレビ中毒だと言います。テレビを見ることは大好きです。医療を扱ったシリーズ物の番組が好きです。看護を勉強した人間としてやはり共感できますし、私の知識や能力を高められるからです。また見ている時にハラハラしてアドレナリンが出るような、アクション映画も好きです。昔はアクション俳優に憧れていました。また、フィリピンで有名なドキュメンタリー番組を良く見ます。またリアリティー番組も好きで、人生の教訓が学べます。
Goals and dreams as an English teacher
I love to speak English, even in our house. I really wanted to be a very good conversant in English language because for me it is really very important if you are fluent in speaking English language. Now that I’m a teacher already, it’s like a dream come true for me, for in the first place I will be forced to speak English and at the same time I will be teaching people to good conversant in English language. My goals and dreams as a teacher now is to help other people to be a very good communicator of English language, because I know this will help them a lot with their lives especially in their jobs.
英語を話すのは大好きで、自宅でも話しています。英語で流暢に話せることはとても重要だと思いますので、英語は今も勉強しています。英語の先生になれたことは、夢がかなったような気持ちです。毎日、自分自身も英語を話して、さらに生徒が英語を話せれるように教える事が出来るのは、とても嬉しい事です。私の講師としての目標と夢は、生徒が英語でのコミュニケーション能力を向上する手助けをし、将来仕事などで役立てて頂く事です。
About Japanese and Japan
Japan is a country in the continent of Asia, same with Philippines, so Japan and Philippines are neighbors. I’ve heard a lot about Japan. It’s even part of our nation’s history, since Philippines was under the rulings of Japanese for many years. Japanese are known to be very hard working people; no wonder Japan is one of the most flourished countries in the world. They value their culture very much. They have many beliefs and practices. They also have very distinct foods which most Filipinos love to eat. I even like the skin of the Japanese people, fair and smooth skin. One of my dream countries to be visited one day is Japan; I also want to work there soon. I believe Japanese people are very keen when it comes to their health, very discipline that’s why Japanese have longer life span compare to other races. Japan is known to be the leader also in technology advancements, competes with other rich countries with their other equipment products, and export it to the rest of the world.
日本はフィリピンと同じようにアジアに位置し、フィリピンとはご近所です。日本の植民地であった事など、歴史的にも日本とフィリピンは接点があり、日本について色々な話を聞きます。日本人はとても勤勉な事で知られています。日本が経済的に発展しているのも不思議ではありません。また日本は自国の文化をとても大切にしていると思います。日本料理は独特で、フィリピンでも大変人気があります。日本人の白くて綺麗な肌も羨ましいです。日本を訪れることは私の夢の1つで、いつか日本で働きたいと思っています。日本人はとても健康に気を使っていて、規律正しい生活をしていると思います。日本人が長生きなのも、そのお陰だと思います。また日本は多くの電化製品を他国へ輸出しており、テクノロジーの分野で世界を引っ張っている事で知られています。
