About hometown and family
I came from San Carlos City Negros Occidental. It’s a city between Dumaguete City Negros Oriental and Bacolod City Negros Occidental. We celebrate our feast day every November 4 of the year with street dancing performed by different people living in different streets. Our patron saint is St. Charles Borromeo, who is considered as one of the saints who performed a miracle during the Second World War When the Japanese soldier invaded our place they controlled the entire city and able to dropped a bomb in the church. But, luckily the bombed did not exploded. From now on, we have a very good place to relax, we went to Mt. Canlaon City it’s an active volcano that you can find in Negros Oriental it took only two hours to travel by bus. It’s a beautiful place and also you can see the foot of volcano while you are in San Carlos City Negros Occidental. The people in San Carlos City produce crops, rice, sugar cane, and plenty of vegetables and good fruits like mango and banana. Aside from this, the city used to have a company that imports the products to the other country but it’s a small place to live in. My Family My family is the only family I’ve ever had. My father’s name is Cesar Sates, He was a former professor in English and Literature. He worked very hard to suffice our daily needs. He died last February 17, 1997. My mother’s name is Florenda Sinoy Sates, she’s a good wife, and a good mother. I loved her very much because she nurtured us to become a good citizen in my country. I’ve longed her for her love she bestowed to us, for my wife and my children. She’s the only mother, the mother who stands despite of many obstacles blocked our way but she never gave up. That’s my mother and I’m very proud to have a good parents. We’re nine in the family and I’m the youngest. My first brother (Julius) graduated in University of Cebu and now he’s a seaman for 14 years, second (Judith) is a teacher for more than 10 years in public school, third is (Jed) who is now in Saudi Arabia but his profession is Fishery, fourth is (Jordan) who graduated with the course Master in Electrical Engineer and now he’s planning to go back abroad, fifth is (Jeoffrey) graduated in Bachelor of Arts In Custom Administration he’s now working in public school, sixth is (Jason) he’s a marine but he stopped and worked in a private sector, seventh is (Jerlie) she’s a commerce graduate but didn’t work because she’s the only one who taking care of her two sons, eight is (Jerlinda) graduated in Bachelor in Elementary Education she’s now teaching in public school, ninth is (Jeremy) who graduated in Bachelor of Arts Major in Philosophy, Bachelor of Arts Major in Social Science and Diploma/Masters in Special Education. All I can say, we are all products of our good parents. The things they taught us shift the entire being of our personality.
私の出身地は西ネグロスのサンカルロス市で、東ネグロスのドゥマグエテ市と、西ネグロスのバコロド市の間に位置します。私の町では毎年11月4日に感謝祭が催され、町ではダンスなどのパレードが行なわれます。私の町の守護聖人は、第二次世界大戦中に奇跡を起こしたと言われる、「チャーレス･ボロメオ」という聖人です。日本が我々の町に責めてきた際、町の教会にも爆弾が落とされましたが、爆発しなかったという話が起因しています。
私の町には、とてもラックスできる場所があります。カンラオン山は活火山で、東ネグロスにあります。私の町からバスで2時間で行けます。とても美しい場所で、西ネグロスのサンカルロスからでも、火山のふもとが見えます。サンカルロスの人々は、穀物や、米、サトウキビ、そして沢山の野菜、マンゴーやバナナなどの果物を育てています。
それ以外にも、小さな町なので今では無くなってしまいましたが、昔は機械類の製品を輸出する会社もありました。
私の家族ですが、父の名はセサ－ル･サテスと言い、英文学の教授でした。私たちを育てるために一生懸命に働いていましたが、1997年の2月17日に亡くなりました。私の母の名前はフロレンダ･シノイという名で、良き母です。多くの困難があったと思いますが、私達子供が立派な人間に育つよう全力を尽くしてくれました。母のことは大好きで、誇りに思っています。
私は9人兄弟の末っ子です。一番上の兄はセブ大学を卒業し、現在では船員として14年間働いています。二番目の兄は公立の学校で10年間先生をしています。3番目の兄は現在サウジアラビアで働いています。4番目は電子工学の修士を取得し、今は海外で仕事先を探しています。5番目は税関管理の学位を取得し、今では公立の学校で働いています。6番目は海兵隊でしたが、退役し今は一般企業で働いています。7番目は長女になり、貿易関係の大学を卒業しましたが、今では2人の子供の母で、子育てに専念しています。8番目も姉で、社会科学を勉強した後、公立の学校で働いています。そして末っ子の私は、哲学と社会科学の学位を取得し、特別教育学の修士を取得しました。言える事は、兄弟は皆、素晴らしい両親のお陰で、しっかりとした人格の持ち主になれたという事です。
Comments to students
I’ve been my teaching experiences for almost five years. It’s quite different teaching foreign people because you need to adjust to their culture and tradition. I expect to my future students to participate during the class. I believed that teaching is for everybody to learn physically, mentally and socially.
講師としての経験は5年になります。文化の違いを理解しなければいけないので、外国からの生徒を教える事は簡単ではありませんが、私の生徒にはレッスンに積極的に参加してほしいです。教えるという事は全ての人にとって同時に、物理的、精神的、社会的に何かを学ぶという事でもあると考えています。
Favorite TV program and its contents
I loved watching “God must be crazy” because it helped me relieved all my worries and the content of the movie focusing on the behavior of the people. These kinds of people can hardly communicate using English language; they’re very ignorant for the things they have seen. But at the end they learned and discovered many good things that they didn’t know before.
“God must be crazy”という番組を見るのが好きでした。この番組を見ると、心配事が和ぐので好きです。番組内に登場する人々は英語を話す事も出来ず、目にする物に対して少し無知な感じですが、最後には何か大切な事を発見し、学んでいく展開が良いと思います。
Goals and dreams as an English teacher
The reason why I worked in ABC Academy is because I want to meet my goals as an English teacher. I believed that hitting the goal is very difficult you need to undergo lots of effort, patience, understanding and concerns. But if the teachers are able to meet all of these then you have the goals as an English teacher.
英語講師としての目標を達成するためには沢山の努力、我慢、理解力、気遣いが要求されると思います。これ等を常に備えていれば、講師としてのゴールを達成できると思います。

日本は世界で最も産業の発達している国の１つだと考えられます。日本産業基準(JIS) は日本での産業活動に適用されている基準で、産業基準を設けるプロセスも、日本産業委員会と日本基準協会によって効率的に組織化されていると聞きました。日本人は、日本列島に生まれた民族で、単一民族です。日本人の人口は約１億３千万人で、そのうち１億２千７百万人が日本に住んでいます。日本発祥の言語は独自なもので、類にした言語はあまりありません。琉球の言語と共に、アルタイ語族(トルコ･モンゴルの言語など)から派生した言語だと考えられています。
