About hometown and family
I live in Sasa, Davao City, from the word “daba-daba” became now Davao - a progressive city located in southern part of Philippines. It's most known symbols are Mount Apo (the highest peak in the Philippines), the Waling-waling (alluring orchid), and the Philippine Eagle (the intriguing endangered species also known as the Monkey-Eating Eagle). Davao City is a melting pot province for all culture; its geography and surroundings, the piece of history, the diversity of culture and tradition, the gathering the festivities like Kadayawan Festival make Davao City inviting and exciting to visit. The city is also well-known for being one of the most peaceful and safe cities in the country. As we strive to improve things for ourselves, there are people who always beside us and let us felt that we are not alone, and that's our family. I am contented and happy to be with them. My father Ismael Botoy Lolo died 2 years ago. He's a man of courage and wisdom who always encouraged us to do things we love. My mother Carmelita Remorosa Lolo, a frank and strong mother I ever have. I have 3 siblings and I am the youngest of them. Although there are times that we faced hardships but we just let it passed and still thank God for the rest. I really love them. And I always do.
私はダバオのササという町出身です。ダバオはフィリピン南部に位置する発展した町で、「ダバダバ」という単語が由来の町です。ダバオはフィリピンで最も高い山であるアポ山や、ワリンワリンという名の魅力的なランの花、そして絶滅の危機に瀕しているフィリピン鷲(別名サルを食べる鷲)で有名です。ダバオは文化のるつぼです。地理や周囲の環境、歴史、多様な文化と伝統、そしてカダヤワンフェスティバルなどの多様なお祭りは、多くの旅行客を引き付けます。またダバオは、フィリピンの中でも最も平和で安全な町のひとつです。町全体が一丸となって、町の発展に貢献してきたので、いつも側に親しい誰かがいて、常に家族が回りにいるように感じます。私は彼らと一緒にいれて満足で幸せです。
私の父はイスマエル･ボトイという名前で、２年前に亡くなりました。父は勇気と博識ある人で、いつも私たちがやりたい事をするように励ましてくれました。私の母はカーメリタ･ロロという名前で、気さくで強い母です。私は３人姉妹で、私は末っ子です。これまでには大変なこともありましたが、ここまで来れた事に神様に感謝しています。家族の事はこれからも大好きです。
Comments to students
As a teacher, there are different qualities of a student that I need to know and consider as factors to motivate them for learning. For the students, since you want to learn English language, it is important that there’s a willingness in your heart, a desire to learn the language in able to gain knowledge and to be a good English speaker someday. You need also to consider the learning process and methods, don't pressure yourself, voice out if you want to speak, don't hesitate to ask, and enjoy the class. Take note that you are in learning process, so love every single day what you'll be learn here in ABC Academy.
講師として、生徒一人一人を理解し、彼らの英語学習を支えるためにもその違いを考慮しなければいけないと考えています。生徒さんには是非、英語を学びたいという思いを心に持って英語学習に取り組み、知識を蓄えていつか立派な英語話者になるという思いを持って頂きたいです。
また、自分にあった英語学習プロセスや学習方法を是非見付けて頂き、恥ずかしがることなく英語を積極的に話し、レッスンを楽しんでほしいです。ABCアカデミーで学んで頂く日々のプロセスを一つ一つ楽しんでください。
Favorite TV program and its contents
My favorite TV program is ABS-CBN, a famous network program here in Philippines. There are a lot of exciting broadcast shows from morning to evening. You can see here the different shows which include animated shows from morning, the “Naruto”, “Sailormoon”, etc. The news programs “Magandang Umaga Bayan”, “TV Patrol”, “SNN”, etc. The noon time shows “Showtime”, and “Wowoowee”. The evening show ( also known as “teleserye program” ), the latest shows “E-Boy”, “Walang Hanggan” and we also have the translated Korean Shows into Tagalog, the “City Hunter”. A very exciting and enjoyable program indeed.
私の好きなチャンネルはABS-CBNで、フィリピン全土で放送されています。朝から晩までとても楽しい番組が放送されており、朝には「ナルト」や「セーラームーン」のようなアニメがやっています。「マガンダン･ウマガ･バヤン」や、「TVパトロール」、「SNN」などのニュース番組もやっています。お昼には「ショータイム」や「Wowooee」といった番組が放送されます。夜には「E-boy」や「Walang Hanggan」といった番組や、タガログ語に吹き返られた韓国の番組「City Hunter」などが放送されます。とてもエキサイティックで楽しい番組です。
Goals and dreams as an English teacher
Being a teacher is a challenge that you need to prove that you are a good teacher, reliable and provide a quality service to the students. From the time I finished my degree, I already knew that teaching has a big part of me. That is why, this job gave me a privilege to look forward of what I can do to others especially those who want to learn something. My goals and dreams is to help other people to improve their English, and to encourage and motivate students. And I hope that as days pass by, I can build a good relationship with my students.
信頼できる講師として、質の良い授業を生徒さんに提供することは簡単なことではないと思いますが、大学を卒業した時から英語を教える事は私、にとって生活の一部となっていました。そのため、英語を学びたい方々の手助けをする事を本当に楽しみにしています。私の講師としての目標、そして夢は、生徒さんの英語上達を助けると共に、生徒を勇気付け、励ますことです。そしてレッスンを通して、生徒さんと素晴らしい関係を築きたいです。
About Japanese and Japan
As I have learned from my university, Japanese is also known as Nihongo, a language that is spoken by the people in Japan. It is written with a combination of three scripts which are; Chinese Character called “Kanji”, and the two syllabic scripts modified also by Chinese characters, the “Hiragana” and “Katakana”. The Latin script, “romanji” is also often used in modern Japanese for company names, logos, advertising, etc. Japanese is distinguished by a complex system of honorifics reflecting the nature of Japanese society, verbs and vocabulary to indicate the relative status of the speaker, the listener, and person mentioned in conversation. However, it is an island nation in East Asia. The Japan's name mean “sun-origin”, is referred as the “Land of the Rising Sun”. Japan is an archipelago of 6,852 islands. The four largest islands are Honshū, Hokkaidō, Kyūshū and Shikoku. Tokyo is the capital city. Indeed, Japan is one the famous country in terms of businesses, education, economy aspects, etc. A very well-known and richest country in the world.
“Japanese”は “Nihongo”と呼ばれており、日本の人々の母語であると、大学時代に学びました。漢字と呼ばれる中国から来た文字と、中国の文字を日本独自に変形したひらがな、カタカナの三種類の書体があると聞いています。また現代では会社名やロゴマーク、宣伝広告にはローマ字がしばしば使われるそうです。日本語は、話者や、話し相手、話題に出てくる人の社会的身分によって動詞や使用する単語をが変わる、とても複雑な敬語のルールがあります。
日本は西アジアに位置する島国で、日出る国と呼ばれています。日本は6,852の島々からなる諸島で、本州、北海道、九州、四国はその中でも最も大きな島の４つです。東京は日本の首都で、日本はビジネスや教育、経済などの分野でとても有名です。世界でも良く知られた最も豊かな国のひとつです。
