About hometown and family
I came from a beautiful town of Placer, Masbate. Placer is a Philippine municipality in the province Masbate in Region V, Bicol Region which belongs to the Luzon group of islands. Placer is a 2nd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Placer is classified as partly urban. Every 23rd of February, we celebrate Himag-ulaw Festival (Our Lady of Remedies). This celebration of praise and thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest or good catch in fishing is expressed through street dancing, beauty competition, games and contests, food fairs, among others. I have four sisters and five brothers. Seven of us already graduated and I am the seventh child. Because we are too many to live in one house, my older brother and I lived with my aunt who is a teacher. My mother is a housewife and my father is a fisherman. I’m so thankful to God for having them as my parents because despite hardships and difficulties of life, they were able to send us to school and gave us financial support.
私はマスバテの、プラサーという町出身です。ルゾン島に所属するビコル地域、第五地区のマスタベにある町です。
プラサーは中規模な都市です、毎年2月23日がプラサーの感謝祭で、ヒマグ･ウラウ･フェスティバルよ呼ばれるお祭りが開催されます。農業や漁業の繁栄を祝う感謝祭で、パレードやフードフェアなど、様々な催し物が開かれます。
私には4人の姉妹と5人の兄弟がいます。そのうち7人は既に大学を卒業しました。私は7番目の子供です。私の家族は１つの家に住むには大きすぎるので、私と兄は教師として働いている叔母の家で暮らしていました。私の母は主婦で、父は漁師です。色々な困難がある中、私たち子供を大学に行かせてくれた両親には感謝しており、また神様にも感謝しています。
Comments to students
This will be my first time to teach because I am actually a nurse but I really love to teach. I don’t have any idea yet what it feels like to be teaching with a student. But one thing is sure; I will do my best to deliver the lessons correctly and to handle students properly. I hope my students will be cooperative in my class.
私のの大学時代の専攻は看護学で、英語を教えるのは今回が初めてですが、人に何かを教える事はとても大好きなことです。実際に日本の生徒さんに英語を教える事はどのような物なのか経験していませんが、正しいレッスンを提供出来るようベストを尽くします。生徒さんが協力的にレッスンに参加してくれるよう願っています。
Favorite TV program and its contents
I always love to watch Tom and Jerry because it is so funny. Every time that I am tired or lonely, I then watch that TV program because it helps me relax and refresh my mind.
トムとジェリーを見るのが大好きです。とても面白いです。疲れていたり、さびしい時に見ると、リラックスして気持ちをリフレッシュできます。
Goals and dreams as an English teacher
I am a nurse but my dream when I was a child is to become a teacher. That is why I’m working as an English teacher. I’ve dreamed of becoming a good and effective teacher. I want to see the improvement of my students and see to it that they are learning because it’s a nice feeling to know that you are helping them learn. I hope that I will be able to impart some of my knowledge in English and help the Japanese students to improve their English vocabulary.
私は看護学を勉強しましたが、子供の頃の夢は教師になる事でした。そのため英語講師として働いています。能力のある良い先生になる事を夢見ています。生徒さんが英語を学ぶのを助ける事は大変気持ちの良い事で、生徒さんの上達するプロセスに立ち会っていきたいです。私の英語に関する知識を生徒さんに伝え、英語の語彙力などを向上してもらいたいです。
About Japanese and Japan
At first, I don’t have any idea about Japan and Japanese people, but my friend who is now working in Japan as an Engineer talks a lot about his experience in Japan. He said Japan is a very nice place and is very advanced in technology. The Place is so nice to live in because it is very peaceful. He also said that foods are very delicious. I know Japanese people are friendly because I meet some Japanese. They are also polite and respectful.
日本や日本語についての知識はあまりありませんでしたが、現在日本でエンジニアとして働いている私の友人が、日本での経験などを教えてくれました。日本はとても良い国で、科学の進歩した国だと言っていました。とても治安が良く、食べ物も美味しいと言っていました。私も日本の方にお会いしたことがありますが、とても礼儀正しい方達でした。
